Chuck Smead, a biologist and board member of the Kankakee
River Valley Forest Preserve District, and Morton Arboretum botanist Floyd Swink

species of plants at this site provides habitat for many species of moths,
butterflies and birds. Floyd Swink, together with Gerould Wilhelm, wrote the book, "Plants
of the Chicago Region".
