What's the fad going on these days?
Everyone has to build a new home... It doesn't pay.
For you see, there's a thing called "urban sprawl",
It's when the city or town does a cancerous crawl.
It devours outward into farmland, prairies, and woods,
Before you know it, there's noplace to escape,
Is this understood?
So think before you follow this destruction of open space.
Once started, it's almost impossible to reverse
And find a quiet, natural place.
